Sustainability is no longer a nice-to-have—it’s a strategic advantage. This opening keynote will show how organizations that embed ESG principles into their core strategy are unlocking innovation, strengthening resilience, and driving long-term value. Grounded in data and practical frameworks, the session offers business leaders a clear, actionable path to making sustainability work—for the planet and the bottom line.

Bob Willard

Bob is a leading expert on sustainability justifications, sustainability reporting frameworks, and sustainable procurement. Over the last 23 years, he has given over 1,800 presentations, has authored six books and published two white papers. He provides six Master Slide Decks and over a dozen free, open-source tools and resources for sustainability champions and procurement professionals. For the last few years, Bob has focused on Sustainable Procurement and Net-Zero Procurement as market forces to mobilize businesses in the race to net-zero GHGs. He currently serves on the Circular Innovation Council board and the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council (SPLC) board – he co-developed the SPLC Navigator with SPLC staff. Bob is on the core faculty of the Canadian Business for Social Responsibility (CBSR) Sustainable Procurement Fellowship program, is an Ambassador for the Sustainable Procurement Pledge, and is an Advisor to the Mission from MaRs – Net-Zero Procurement Mission. He teaches a 4-webinar ISSP course on Sustainable Procurement which provides guidance on how to use his free, open-source Sustainable Procurement Toolkit and Net-Zero Procurement Toolkit. Bob is a currently a Buy Social Canada Community Champion, and serves on the B Corp Standards Advisory Council, the Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council (SPLC) board, the Circular Innovation Council board, and the Whitby Sustainability Advisory Committee, He was one of five inaugural inductees into the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP) Hall of Fame in 2011, has received three Clean50 awards including a Lifetime Achievement award in 2023, and has earned six “Best for the World - Overall” and five “Best for the World – Community” awards since becoming a Certified B Corp in 2012. Sustainability Advantage was the first company to reach the highest Diamond tier of Canada’s Net-Zero Challenge in 2023.

Mike Smith is the founder and CEO of Aclymate, the one-stop climate shop for companies without sustainability teams. Aclymate helps companies measure, reduce, report, and offset their climate footprint without having to become an expert and for an affordable price. Mike previously founded RenewWest, a company that developed nature-based carbon offsets and where he led the planting of the largest carbon-focused reforestation project in U.S. history. Prior to his climate career, Mike was an FA-18 pilot for the U.S. Navy, with postings in the U.S., Japan, and Italy, three deployments aboard the USS Kitty Hawk, and 354 carrier landings. He's the happily married father to two great children, and in his free time, he enjoys skiing, backpacking, and sailing.

Danna Mann joined TAG Video Systems in 2018 as an Event Coordinator and quickly rose through the ranks to become the Company’s Marketing Director. Danna is responsible for guiding the company’s worldwide marketing initiatives, achieving a track record of success in developing and executing effective campaigns and strategies. Having completed ESG and sustainability professional training, Danna has also taken on leading TAG's corporate responsibility efforts, further solidifying the company's commitment to ethical practices. Chris Lennon serves in Ross Video’s Office of the CTO as Director, Standards Strategy. He is responsible for Ross’ activities in standards and trade organizations, as well as its global thought leadership program. Chris also serves as Executive Director of the Open Services Alliance (OSA), a global industry organization focused on interoperability among microservice oriented media systems, now a part of SMPTE’s Rapid Industry Solutions. The OSA produced the media industry’s first microservices standards and continues to lead the way in this rapidly evolving area. Chris has held a variety of leadership positions in the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), including Standards Director, Western US Governor, Local Section Chair, and Chair of multiple Technology Committees. He is a SMPTE Fellow and recipient of SMPTE’s prestigious 2008 Citation. He currently is a manager of the SMPTE Rocky Mountain Section and serves on the IABM Board.

Bill Redmann

Bill Redmann co-chairs ATSC Planning Team 9, examining Sustainability in Media and Data Delivery Services. As Director of Standards for Immersive Media Technologies with InterDigital, Bill serves in SMPTE, ATSC, and the Ultra HD Forum, contributing to imaging, timing, and metadata standards for next-generation television and other media systems. Additionally, Bill chairs groups studying Sustainability within these organizations. He is a SMPTE Fellow and chairs SMPTE Technical Committee on Metadata Registers (TC 30MR) and the Extensible Time Label (TLX) work there. Bill holds an M.S. in Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) plus 93 issued U.S. patents relating to displays, media production, distributed streaming, online communities, digital cinema, augmented and virtual reality, and (because everyone needs a hobby) electric vehicle infrastructure.

Rebecca Hanson

Rebecca Hanson joined NABA as Director-General in 2023. An experienced broadcast and media executive, Ms. Hanson has managed numerous policy issues before the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and Congress relating to broadcast regulation. While SVP of Policy and Strategy at Sinclair Broadcast Group, she advocated for new video technology, fair compensation for cable carriage, and spectrum protection. She also served as General Counsel for HC2 Broadcasting group overseeing the regulation of 250 full- and low-power television stations. At the FCC, Ms. Hanson served in a variety of roles, beginning with the first U.S. National Broadband Plan in 2009, the related broadcast spectrum auction planning in 2011, and other broadcast policy issues including the transition to ATSC 3.0. She currently serves on the Maryland Public Broadcasting Commission and is on the board of the U.S. NAB Leadership Foundation.

François Polarczyk has 10 years of experience working for software development companies, with a specialism in video solutions. With a background in Organisational Psychology, he has recently focused his work on Partnerships and Sustainability, and successfully completed the Business Sustainability Management program from the University of Cambridge. As part of his role of Sustainability Director with Accedo - a global video solutions provider, powering some of the world’s most impactful video-centric experiences - François is contributing to the Corporate Sustainability strategy of the company. He is also driving industry initiatives, such as the IBC Accelerator project ECOFLOW in 2024, with the purpose to enhance the sustainability offerings of content providers and tech vendors from the OTT ecosystem.

She is a seasoned marketing communications executive with more than 20 years of experience in creating awareness, and cultivating interest, engagement, and preference for a variety of companies in the technology, healthcare and transportation industries. She is an experienced storyteller with a track record of creating demand generation and customer retention programs that contribute to the bottom line. She currently leads the Global Energy Management program, which is focused on driving efficiencies in Akamai’s data center deployments and investing in new wind and solar projects around the globe. She moved into the Sports & Live Events team in 2016, turning her passion for sports and data analytics into a full-time role by 2019. With a passion for technology, Johan possesses a broad and deep "glass-to-glass" experience from Ericsson Research, covering areas such as virtual and augmented reality and advanced video coding. Carly is responsible for News divisional strategy implementation in alignment with the BBC Group’s Science Based Targets, launching the BBC News Green Action Plan and Journalism Climate Commitment to support all News staff to play their role. Co-founder of ImpactFilm, a financing structure whose mission is to fight against stereotypes in cinema and television by supporting the production and distribution of works that spark debate and shift perspectives on the world, Olivier Saby has been involved in the production and distribution of more than forty fiction and documentary films. Through the WeBuildChange Cinema and Audiovisual program he launched in 2018, he supports over fifty industry talents who are reinventing the norms of the sector. He is also the president of L'Observatoire des images, a think tank dedicated to raising awareness among professionals, policymakers, and the general public about the influence of film and television imagery on our collective imagination.

Cedric Lejeune is a pioneer in digital cinema and media production technologies. He’s a specialist in business transformation with a focus on innovation and sustainability. Cedric Lejeune started in 2000 as a VFX assistant, working on the CG/MoCap production "TribalX" and managing a post-production facility's digital infrastructure. In 2000, he became an application engineer at Post Logic, supporting CG animation, infrastructure, effects, and color grading tools. He helped the implementation of the first industrial digital intermediate pipeline at Éclair Laboratoires in 2002 and set up systems across Europe. In 2006, he founded Workflowers to provide consulting and training, helping film labs transition to digital and post-production enter cinema.Specializing in digital cinema, workflows, and color science, he managed early ACES color pipeline setups in VFX facilities. Joining Ymagis in 2015, he supervised post-production and mastering labs’ technology and led the development of EclairColor, an HDR solution for cinema, and assembled a technology and innovation team. In 2020, he restarted his consulting business to help media industries transition to more sustainable models. In 2023, he started HOLLI, a consulting firm assisting media organizations with data-centric strategies for efficiency and sustainability. He is a member of industry organizations including CST, VES, SMPTE, and HPA.

Zena Harris builds sustainability programs that embed sustainable practices, influence stakeholders and shift industries. Professionally, she has worked in three sectors - industrial engineering and construction, higher education, and entertainment – in a corporate, nonprofit, and entrepreneurial context respectively. Most recently, she founded a sustainability consulting company with the focus of advancing sustainability practices in film and television, and the mission to “change the climate of entertainment”, working throughout the United States and Canada. Zena manages a team that focuses on film/TV production strategy, best practice implementation and data analysis. She works with corporate clients and stakeholders on sustainability strategy, goal setting and key performance indicator development. She has cultivated and grown multi-stakeholder programs that unite the motion picture industry around sustainability and has created events like the Sustainable Production Forum to accelerate knowledge sharing. Zena has worked with major studios to implement sustainable practices on film and TV shows and regularly engages with industry alliances and consortia. Zena holds a master’s degree from Harvard University in Sustainability and Environmental Management and applies her 15+ years of experience in sustainability in several sectors to the motion picture industry.

Phil is an Environmental Sustainability leader with more than twenty five years experience of delivering complex projects and change management programmes for global clients across a range of industries. He founded Consciam in 2015 to help organisations become more conscious of their impacts and help them to do less bad and more good - to deliver net impact approaches. Consciam has worked with a diverse range of clients, from global and FTSE-listed businesses to smaller companies, local government and charities, and is proud to have made a difference. Phil is determined via Consciam to help organisations focus on sustainability in a way which enables them to develop and grow as well as reduce their environmental impacts. After graduating with an honours degree in Environmental Studies, Phil embarked on a career in industry, working for specialist consulting and research companies in the water industry and IT sectors. As Head of Environmental Sustainability for Capgemini UK, Phil was responsible for setting environmental strategy including Net Positive ambition, delivering performance improvement and ensuring environmental compliance. Phil has a life-long love and respect for the environment, and is at his happiest outdoors, whatever the weather, most likely with his chocolate Labrador in tow. Phil was shortlisted for Sustainability Professional of the Year in the 2015 edie Sustainability Leaders awards.

Gina brings deep experience as a sustainability professional with three decades of experience leading sustainability and operation functions in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. She currently applies this breadth of sustainability knowledge and experience as Associate Director of Management Systems and Assurance at 3R Sustainability and Sustainability Assurance Services (SAS). Through this work, Gina is rebranding the assurance and certification processes to be valuable and enjoyable for organizations. Beginning her career in the mining and manufacturing industry as a senior environmental engineer, Gina rose to become an ESHS Area Leader, overseeing a team of 14 professionals. She went on to lead the sustainability efforts in the hospitality industry for Xanterra South Rim at the Grand Canyon and then for Vail Resorts at the Grand Tetons. She served as Director of Sustainability at Ortega National Parks before serving as General Manager of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals. Their most senior staff member, Gina led the mission to empower sustainability professionals across the workforce and around the globe. A central theme throughout her career was realizing the value of management systems and certifications with the design and implementation of ISO-certified systems and numerous applications of third-party assessments and the associated audits. Utilizing her diverse sustainability experience, Gina serves as a Lead Certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioner for AA1000 Assurance which provides a framework to help companies demonstrate their commitment to sustainability. She is also an approved auditor to the Responsible Steel Standard in all principles. Gina holds a BS in Environmental Engineering from Montana Technological University and an MBA in Sustainable Systems from Presidio Graduate School. She also holds the Sustainability Excellence Professional (SEP) credential. An avid trail runner and snowboarder, Gina enjoys the Montana mountain lifestyle with her husband, son, and Labrador retriever.

Sean is responsible for leading AVIXA’s efforts to become an authoritative provider of insights and research for the pro AV industry. In this role, he manages, directs, and serves as a public face for the association’s research while exploring new areas of study, while also leading AVIXA's data strategy initiative. Throughout his over 20 years in the technology research sector Sean has made a career of maximizing data in a variety of roles, including leading a primary research business, centralizing a business intelligence practice, building an industry analysis department, performing advanced statistical analysis, and speaking/ writing about research findings. Sean previously served as VP of Research for BDS Marketing, Inc., President of his own research consultancy, and Director of Industry Analysis at the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). His experience has provided him with an unparalleled scope of awareness of the built environment allowing for a broad understanding of the challenges in today’s design & installation needs around the world. Patrick acquired these certifications to serve the AV community, assisting specifiers & designers that would like to build AV solutions with sustainability in mind. Patrick’s passion for sustainability is lifelong and he has been advocating for advancement in the AV industry since 2017. He has experience within multiple industry verticals and has been in technology sales and business development for 20 years. He has worked with some of the world’s leading companies as a consultant on a variety of AV design projects that incorporated sustainability. Patrick’s sustainability consultant experience includes being a leading member of the Legrand High Performance Building Council, the Legrand AV corporate liaison for Sustainable development, inaugural member of the LEED Impact working group, a presenter at Infocomm, member of the AVIXA Sustainability Task Force and currently contributing member of the AVIXA Sustainability Council with a focus on industry best practices.

Kibo121 specializes in guiding organizations to seamlessly integrate ESG initiatives into their core operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and minimizing legal risks in an ever-evolving landscape. Kibo121's services encompass sustainability strategic planning, assessment support, sustainability practice coaching, and thought leadership. Barbara’s expertise in sustainability has made her a sought-after speaker at prominent industry events, including the NAB Show, SVG (Sports Video Group), IBC, SMPTE, SMW (Streaming Media West), and the HPA Tech Retreat. She designed, and now manages, the NAB Show’s Excellence in Sustainability Awards, as well as being the lead judge for the Corporate Star Awards. Before turning toocean conservation, Philip had a 25-year successful career in finance. He has lived in Chile, UK, Switzerland, France, Hong Kong andSpain. He is fluent in English, French and Spanish. Philip’s work has been featured on TV and in books as well as being quoted in several titles including The Times, GQ Magazine, TheEconomist, CNN and The Guardian. His conservation projects have also been presented on BBC Earth, at the United Nations as well ashaving generated multimillion views on social media.He is founder and director of Ocean Souls Films Ltd, a UK based production company, focused on producing conservationdocumentaries and also a director of US based 501 (c)(3) non-profit organisation, Wildlife Media. Philip is also a published author of two ground breaking marine conservation books. The most recent book, Call of the Blue II, is afascinating book with 376 pages filled with the most spectacular photography plus a wonderful chapter on Antarctica. It also featuresthe most inspiring stories from acclaimed scientists and ocean ‘guardians’, who reveal what drove them to answer the "Call of theBlue."Since 2020, Philip has directed and produced several documentaries all focusing on ocean conservation.

My father was one of the pioneers in the world to work developing ecotourism approaching to southern right whales in Peninsula Valdes I used to spend my weekends on board of my father little boats approaching whales since I was 6 years old. I became profesional guide on whale watching tours since I was 16 and captain when I was 19. Today my brothers, my mother and me we are in charge of the company that takes around 110.000 passengers per season. we are example of sustainability inspiring other destinations in the world to became strong destinations for whale watching. Since the begin we saw a few kelp gulls attacking whales, but in the last years we can see Hundreds attacking new born calves and that's why we decided to start the documentary about this problem
