Robert Trebus is Director of Global Sustainability at d&b audiotechnik, a leading professional audio technology company. With more than two decades of experience in the live entertainment and event sector, he is recognized as one of the industry’s foremost experts on sustainability and climate strategy.In addition to his corporate role, Robert serves as Board Member for Sustainability at the German Entertainment Technology Association (VPLT) and the Entertainment Technology Industry Alliance (ETIA), where he focuses on driving the development of green products, ecodesign principles, and harmonized environmental standards such as Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Product Category Rules (PCR) across the AV and event technology sector.He also chairs the national standards committee on sustainable event standards at DIN and contributes to the ISO Technical Committee on Sports and Event Hospitality. Robert was appointed as a Climate Pact Ambassador by the European Commission, representing the entertainment sector.Through his work, Robert combines business leadership, cross-industry collaboration, and political engagement to accelerate the transition towards sustainable events and cultural productions.
